║ GT-HELP ║ GTBULLET.BBS - the Bulletin Announcements everyone sees
╚═════════╩════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════
GT systems are expected to have at least one logon bulletin,
GTBULLET.BBS. This file is shown to all new callers after they have
logged on.
Usually the sysop updates this occasionally, adding new information to
the *top* of the file. Users can read it until they recognise
something which they have seen on a previous visit, ending at a
convenient MORE prompt.
For example :
┌─────────────────────── ─ ─ ─ ─ ─ ─
│╔══════════════╗
│║ 3rd May 1990 ║
│╚══════════════╝
│
│A new version of MB_FIXUP was released today. You will find it in the
│COMMS file area.
│
│╔═════════════════╗
│║ 28th April 1990 ║
│╚═════════════════╝
│
│We installed a HST today, so you can now log on at 9600.
|
(etc).
It is just a text file, so the sysop is free to present it as
appropriate.
Hint: It is wise to insert a manual MORE prompt in convenient places
about every 20th line) to avoid GT breaking up individual
items.
See pagecodes.hlp.

Any bulletins may have a .CBS version for ANSI callers. The CBS
version, if it exists, will be shown to ANSI callers.
A CBS file is never compulsory - if it does not exist the caller will
be shown the .BBS version - so you needn't maintain two versions if you
do not wish to.
